Bucket List for 20-Somethings

Being in the age of 20s has a lot of ironies. This is the stage when one is independent and free enough to decide on his own, but his independence is freedom is controlled by tons of work responsibilities. This is the time when one has his own money to spend, but he lacks time for him to do what he wants like travel, shop or some long hours in the spa. Despite these ironies which are common to 20-somethings, they must have the will to be truly free and in control of their lives.

  • Find a job you love to do. Do what you love is a common mantra for 20-somethings, and this is something they should always uphold no matter what happens. It may take some time for some people to find the job that they love, but in the end, it is worth it.
  • Travel the world. You have work responsibilities during your 20-something years, and you always work as hard as you can, even rendering overtime. Make sure that you give yourself time to relax and travel. Use the money you worked hard for in doing this because you deserve it.
  • Keep your real friends. Friends will be important part of your 20-something. You will be with them during your victorious and party moments, and they will also be the people you will run to in case you need someone to lean on. Your friends will make your 20-something memorable and bearable, too.

  • Continue learning. Even if your main focus during your 20-something is to develop your career life, make sure to still continue learning things. You can study new language, new skill like dancing, cooking or baking and you can also study short courses or Master’s Degree.
  • Save for your future. Since you are already earning during your 20-something, aside from travelling, make sure that you are also saving some of your money. These savings will help you in case of emergency in the future.
  • Take care of your body. Biologically, most of the developments in the body happen during the 20s. Make the most of this by trying to develop yourself physically. Go on a workout and be aware of your physical looks.
